Our treatment methods

Here are some of the minimally-invasive procedures Dr. Lopez performs using world-class instrumentation and Ivy League training.

This list is not all-inclusive, and Dr. Lopez will work with you to develop a treatment plan that not only fits your symptoms but also your lifestyle.

  • These injections work by relaxing nerves and muscles throughout the face, head and neck to provide relief and prevention of future migraines.

  • These injections target sciatic pain caused by pinched nerves.

  • Regenerative therapy includes the rebuilding or repairing of pain-generating areas utilizing various injection techniques to promote natural regrowth and strengthening of the affected areas.

  • Radiofrequency ablation is a minimally invasive procedure that uses heat via radiofrequency waves to relieve pain. The heat stifles the pain signals from reaching the brain, preventing the pain from occuring.

  • Spinal cord stimulation uses a mild electrical current to disrupt pain messages traveling up the spine. Spinal cord stimulation can be used for chronic back pain or for sciatica and other nerve damage symptoms.

Spinal cord stimulation is a minimally invasive procedure, and our team will perform a trail in our office to determine if this procedure is right for you.

  • Stem cell therapy uses the latest in technological advances to harvest stem cells from other parts of your body (usually hip or fat cells) and use those cells to repair damaged tissues that are causing pain or inhibition.

This procedure begins with the minimally-invasive obtainment of the stem cells, where they’ll then be treated in a laboratory to prepare for injection back into the affected areas.

While stem cell therapy doesn’t provide immediate pain relief, it does provide the necessary factors to help your body heal, which is designed to reduce future pain.

  • A special surgery to treat vertebral compression fractures through careful expansion and stabilization of the spine’s vertebra.

  • A minimally-invasive, outpatient procedure designed to repair spinal compression fractures.

During a vertebroplasty, the patient receives a localized anesthetic before Dr. Lopez guides a biopsy needle into the patient’s compressed spine.

A special bone cement is then filled into the cracks in spine, which strengthens and supports your vertebra as it hardens.

  • Though there is currently no known cure for fibromyalgia, Dr. Lopez offers a range of customizable treatments depending on the patient, which include medication, spinal cord stimulation or many of the other treatments listed in this section.

The goal, no matter what the treatment, is to provide relief for the chronic pain and hypersensitivity the patient may be experiencing in their muscles and soft tissue.

  • Hyaluronic acid injections are designed to be implemented in the affected joints to relieve inflammation caused by osteoarthritis. The most common usage of hyaluronic acid injections is for treatment of knee osteoarthritis.

Hyaluronic acid gel injections are an outpatient procedure, but some patients have seen success by taking hyaluronic acid oral supplements as well.

  • Injections designed to help patients dealing with tennis elbow, partial rotator cuff tears, shoulder pain, wrist pain and knee osteoarthritis.

  • A procedure involving the injection of medication directly into specific areas of the body to manage pain in a targeted, specific way. Nerve blocks are used for both diagnostic and therapeutic reasons.
